1. I will appear for both XAT and CMAT. Which score will be considered ?

    The score of the exam (XAT / CMAT) chosen in "Your choice of Examination" will be considered. For both XAT and CMAT scores to be considered, the candidates have to apply twice.

2. Which cards can be used for online payment?

    Mastercard and VISA card only

3. How is a Reserved category candidate identified?

    All Reserved category candidates must send Payment Advice Form along with a copy of certificate of belonging to reserved category to admissions office, whether payment is made online, or otherwise.

4. What is the registration fee* for GIM?

    Online Payment: For registration being done on or before 30 th November, 2012 Rs 1250 for one programme (PGDM OR PGDM_HCM) Rs. 1500/- for both programs (PGDM AND PGDM-HCM).

For Registration after 30th November 2012 Rs 1650 for one programme (PGDM OR PGDM_HCM) Rs. 1900/- for both programs (PGDM AND PGDM-HCM).
Payment by Demand Draft: For registration being done on or before 30 th November, 2012 Rs.1300/- for one programme (PGDM OR PGDM_HCM) Rs. 1550/- for both programs (PGDM AND PGDM-HCM).

For Registration after 30th November 2012 Rs. 1700/- for one programme (PGDM OR PGDM_HCM) Rs. 1950/- for both programs (PGDM AND PGDM-HCM).

*Registration fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance

5. When is the last date for application to GIM?

    December 31, 2012

6. When is the last date for receipt of payment advice?

    The payment should reach GIM by January 15th, 2013.

7. I want to download GIM PA form again as I forgot to download it after registration. How can I get it now?

8. What is the Eligibility to apply to GIM?

    Minimum 50% aggregate marks, (45% in case of candidates belonging to the Reserved category) in a three-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) recognized by the Association of Indian Universities / AICTE. Candidates who will complete all requirements for the degree by 15th June 2013 may also apply.

9. Is there any reservation or Management quota at GIM?

    Admission to the Goa Institute of Management is strictly on the basis of merit and no donation in any form is sought or accepted in connection with admission.

10. Are there any reservations for Goan candidates?

    There are no reservations for goan candidates but for selection for the Group Discussion and Individual Interview, the qualifying cut-off XAT score will be lowered by 15 points for candidates of Goan domicile/origin. Documentary evidence of domicile will have to be supplied along with the completed Application Form.

11. What qualifies a candidate to be considered of Goan Domicile/ Origin?

    For the purpose of application under the category of persons of Goan Domicile or Origin the student must satisfy any of the following: Goan Domicile: An applicant would be considered of Goan Domicile if he/she produces a domicile certificate issued by the Goa Government or documentary proof of residence/education/ employment in Goa for a period of at least 10 years. Alternatively, an adequate proof of the domicile of any one of the parents of the students for a period of at least 15 years should be provided. Goan Origin: Either one of the following conditions must be met: An applicant or at least one of his parents or grandparents should be /have been born in Goa (documentary proof in the form of the original birth certificate has to be produced). The applicant or his parents should have a share in ancestral property in Goa which is utilized as the family's residence or business premises. Documentary proof of this must be certified by the sub divisional magistrate or the Municipality.

13. When would GIM declare the shortlist?

    February/March 2013

14. What is the GD/PI centre(s) for GIM?

    GIM Interview centres - Bangalore, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.

15. When is the list of final selection for GIM declared?

    March/April 2013

16. When would the session begin?

    Orientation & Induction Programme will be from 10th to 30th June 2013. Academic session to begin from 1st July 2013 and the mid term exams and end term exams of Term 1 will be in the mid of August and mid of September 2013 respectively.

17. What is Tuition fee waiver scheme?

    The institute may offer financial support to deserving candidates, as per the details available on the website. Eligibility is based on family income of the candidate.

18. How is family income defined for Tuition fee waiver?

    Family income is the total of income of both parents, candidate himself/herself and his/her brother(s) and sister(s) for financial year 2012-2013. If a brother(s)/sister(s) is married and has established a separate household, his/her income may be excluded from family income.

19. What proof is required for establishing family income?

    Income Tax Returns for all family members for financial year 2012-2013.

20. What is the duration of the Post Graduate Programme in Management-Healthcare Management (PGDM-HCM)?

    It is a two year full-time residential course.

21. What is the intake capacity for PGDM-HCM?

    PGDM-HCM has 60 seats.

22. What is the eligibility to apply for PGDM-HCM?

    Minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category? in a three-year BAchelor's degree (or equivalent) recognized by the Association of Indian Universities/AICTE. Candidates who will complete all requirements for the degree by 15th June 2013 may also apply.

23. Is the PGDM-HCM program open to graduates from pharmaceutical/medical background only?

    No, graduates from any background can apply for this programme.

24. At which campus PGDM-HCM programme be conducted?

    The PGDM-HCM would be conducted at the Ribandar Campus.

25. Does the Institute provide placement facility for PGDM-HCM?

    Yes, the Institute does provide placement facility for this programme.
